Palestinian prisoner in occupation jails Khalil Awawdeh on hunger strike for 40 consecutive days

The Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli jails Khalil Awawdeh has been on hunger strike for 40 consecutive days in protest against his detention without charge or trial and against the Israeli occupation’s continuous crimes against Palestinian prisoners.

The Palestinian Authority’s Detainees Affairs Commission said in a statement on Tuesday that the health condition of Awawdeh is increasingly deteriorating as he has lost ability to move and he suffers from acute headache and joint pain all the time besides losing 16 kg of weight.

The Israeli occupation authorities continue with their arbitrary practices against Awawdeh and refuse to respond to the requests submitted by the commission for his release.
