Palestinian prisoner: I was brutally assaulted and had skull fractures during my arrest by the occupation forces

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Palestinian prisoner, Muhammad Tayseer Zahran, 41, explained that he was brutally assaulted during his arrest by the Israeli occupation forces last Saturday, which later left him with skull fractures and several injuries to his body.

Zahran stated, in a testimony to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, according to Wafa Agency, after his release yesterday that the occupation forces arrested him from his town of Deir Abu Mishaal, west of Ramallah, in the West Bank, at dawn last Saturday, and after transferring him to the military vehicle, they began to beat him brutally until he lost consciousness, and did not realize time or place of detention.

The Prisoners  Club said, in its statement: “This is a preliminary testimony of the prisoner, Muhammad Zahran, about the beating he was subjected to during his arrest process until his release. The competent human rights institutions will follow up his case immediately, stressing that what happened with Zahran, a former prisoner who spent a total of 20 years in the occupation prisons, is part of the systematic abuse and crimes carried out by the occupation forces.”
