Palestinian prisoner Abu Hawwash continues with his hunger strike despite his deteriorating health condition
The Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli occupation jail Hisham Abu Hawwash is in a serious health condition after being on a hunger strike for 117 consecutive days in protest against his prolonged detention without charge and against the occupation’s criminal practices towards the Palestinian people, the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) warns on Saturday.
According to WAFA News Agency, Abu Hawwash is suffering from various pains all over his body. He lost weight and can’t sleep because of pain and he moves on a wheelchair and vomits all the time.
The 40-year-old Abu Hawwash is from the town of Dura in the south of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil. He was detained by the occupation forces several times since 2003 and last time was in October 2020.
