Palestinian prime minister: the occupation is committing genocide in Gaza and the Palestinians will not leave their land

Palestinian prime minister Mohammad Shtayyeh stressed that the Israeli occupation is committing genocidal massacres in the besieged Gaza Strip and the international community should stop it, stressing that the Palestinian people will remain faithful to their land and will not leave it no matter what crimes and massacres the occupation commits.

Shtayyeh explained in a statement today that the continuous aggression of the occupation for the seventh day on the Strip has turned it into a stricken area, where it caused unprecedented destruction of property, institutions, public facilities and infrastructure. It is also imposing a comprehensive blockade on its people, cutting off electricity and water, preventing the access of medical and food supplies and fuel necessary for the continuation of the operation of the power plant, which was completely stopped two days ago, which is considered a war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

He pointed out that the occupation is trying to deface the cause of Palestinian refugees and settle them in the countries to which they were displaced, and today it is trying to displace the people of the Gaza Strip, and this is unacceptable. The Palestinian people will remain loyal to their land and the tragedy of refuge will not be repeated.

He reiterated his call on the international community to stop the occupation aggression and stop the settlers ‘ terrorism against Palestinians in the West Bank and to open a safe humanitarian corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.
