Palestinian Presidency Welcomes U.S. President’s Announcement to Lift Sanctions on Syria

The Palestinian presidency welcomed the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump to lift sanctions on Syria.

In a statement reported by the Palestinian news agency “Wafa,” the presidency expressed hope that this decision would be another step toward restoring Syria’s health, stability, and its pioneering role in the region.

The presidency affirmed the support of the State of Palestine and its people for their brothers in Syria, wishing them further progress and prosperity.

The statement also appreciated the significant efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which greatly contributed to the lifting of these sanctions.
