Palestinian Presidency warns against escalating the Israeli war

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Presidency stressed that escalating the Israeli war on the West Bank cities, villages, camps of Jenin, Tulkarm, Tubas and other Palestinian cities, in addition to the war of extermination in Gaza Strip, will lead to dire and dangerous results.
Wafa News Agency on Wednesday quoted the Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh as saying in a statement: The aggression that the occupation began at dawn today on the northern West Bank, which has so far led to the martyrdom of 10 Palestinians and the injury of dozens, comes as a continuation of the comprehensive war on the Palestinian people, their land and their holy sites. “It is a dangerous escalation for which the US administration bears responsibility because it provides protection and support to the occupation”, he added.
Abu Rudeineh called on the US administration to intervene immediately and force the occupation to stop its comprehensive war on the Palestinian people. He called on the countries of the world to take immediate and urgent action to curb the occupation government that poses a threat to the stability of the region and the world as a whole.
In turn, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the occupation’s escalation in the West Bank is an extension of the war of extermination and displacement and the destruction of the foundations of Palestinian steadfastness in their homeland, especially with regard to targeting infrastructure and the foundations of Palestinian life. It referred that the siege of hospitals and the imposition of forced displacement and the evacuation of residents from their homes are a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law and a war crime.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to intervene immediately and effectively to stop the aggression. It called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and the relevant UN institutions and councils to assume their responsibility and play their role in protecting the Palestinian people.
Since last night, the occupation has launched a large-scale aggression on the cities of Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm in the West Bank, which resulted in the martyrdom of 10 Palestinians, the injury of 11 others and significant destruction of infrastructure.
