Palestinian Presidency: The occupation’s assassination of 3 Palestinian young men near Nablus is a war crime
Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Presidency has affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces’ assassination of three young men near Al-Tur Gate in the West Bank city of Nablus is a war crime. “This matter is a continuation of the policy of collective punishment to which the Palestinian people are subjected”, the presidency added.
Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said in a statement on Tuesday, reported by Wafa News Agency: The continuation of the daily killings, the storming into Palestinian cities, the assault on Islamic and Christian sanctities, in addition to settlement expansion, annexation plans, racist policies, and other Israeli crimes will not dissuade the Palestinian people from continuing the struggle to restore their national rights that have been approved by international legitimacy
Abu Rudeineh indicated that the American support for the Israeli occupation and the international silence on its crimes have encouraged it to continue with its crime. He called for serious intervention to stop the occupation’s attacks that aim to drag the region into tension and instability.
Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The occupation’s crime in Nablus is part of its open war on the Palestinian presence
In the same context, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the crime committed by the Israeli occupation in the city of Nablus in the West Bank on Tuesday, which resulted in the death of three young men, falls within the framework of its open war on the Palestinian presence. This crime aims to the annexing of the West Bank and liquidating the Palestinian cause.
The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday, reported by Wafa News Agency: This crime and other crimes, such as the escalation in the demolition of Palestinian facilities and homes is the Israeli response to Palestine’s submission of a comprehensive and detailed pleading to the International Court of Justice to obtain an advisory opinion on the long-standing occupation, leading to the accountability and trial of Israeli war criminals in international courts.
The Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation’s continuation of its crimes should create a state of legal and moral awakening among the international community in general, and especially among those countries that insist on providing protection for the occupation in international forums. It called on the United Nations and international institutions to shoulder their responsibilities to end the long-standing racist Israeli occupation.
For his part, the Head of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, condemned the crime of the occupation in Nablus. He pointed out that the assassinations and executions carried out by the occupation forces in the Palestinian territories are war crimes that will not affect the morale of the resistant Palestinian people, who will continue the struggle and steadfastness until they achieve their freedom.
In turn, the Fatah movement pointed out that the occupation government is trying to solve its internal crisis by escalating its terrorism against the Palestinians. It stressed that the Palestinian people will continue to make sacrifices as an offering for their freedom and national independence.
The Fatah movement also called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the crimes of the occupation and not be content with condemnations.
