Palestinian Presidency: Israeli continuous escalation exacerbates tension, further destabilizes the region
The Palestinian Presidency on Thursday warned that the current escalation of the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Palestinian people and their sanctities will further exacerbate tension and destabilize the region, calling for holding Israel accountable for its crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a statement, the Presidency condemned the current Israeli dangerous escalation, mainly storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by the Israeli lawmaker Itamar Ben Gvir early this morning, backed by Israeli police and settlers, in addition to the killing of two Palestinians and the injuring of 14 others, three of them sustain serious injuries, in a raid on Jenin district this dawn.

The attack is a blatant violation of the international humanitarian law and the rules that guarantee protection for treatment centers, which necessitates an urgent action by the international community to put an end to these Israeli aggressive practices, the ministry stressed.
Dozens of Israeli settlers on Thursday stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation forces.
According to Palestinian media outlets, 197 extremist settlers stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque from the side of Bab Al-Magharbeh and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards under the heavy protection of the occupation.
