The spokesman for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, affirmed that the statements of denunciation and condemnation by the international community are not sufficient to stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, stressing that serious measures must be taken to curb the occupation.
Wafa news agency quoted Abu Rudeineh as saying today: The international silence on the violations of the occupation and the failure to hold the occupation accountable for its continuing crimes against the Palestinian people encourages Israel to continue to shed Palestinian blood and commit attacks against our people, land and sanctities. The international silence, denunciation and condemnation only constitute a cover and protection for the occupation from accountability.
The Palestinian Presidency spokesman pointed out the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and work to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to provide them with international protection.
Three Palestinians were killed during the past 24 hours, and dozens were wounded and arrested in separate areas of the West Bank, and a resident of Deir al-Balah city in Gaza Strip died of his injuries during the Israeli aggression on the Strip in May of last year.
