Palestinian Presidency condemns the occupation’s plan to establish thousands of settlement units

Occupied al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Presidency condemned the Israeli occupation authorities ’plan to establish more than 2000 settlement units in the West Bank, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of all international legitimacy resolutions.

Wafa News Agency quoted presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh as saying in a statement today that, this announcement violates all international legitimacy decisions, especially Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Abu Rudeineh indicated that the occupation authorities are using the international silence and the unlimited support of the American administration to proceed with its settlement policies and theft of Palestinian land.

Abu Rudeineh called on the international community to intervene immediately and urgently to pressure the occupation authorities to stop their settlement practices, which completely eliminate any opportunity for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital on the line of June 4, 1967.
