Palestinian Presidency condemns Israel’s escalation in the aggression against the Palestinian people
Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)- The Palestinian Presidency warned of the seriousness of the Israeli occupation’s persistence in its crimes against the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to take serious measures to stop them.
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the presidential spokesman, condemned the Israeli occupation’s escalation of aggression, which targeted children, women, and homes in the Gaza Strip and in the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank tis dawn and which resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians, including 4 children and 4 women in Gaza Strip, in the wounding of 20 others.
In addition, he said, 13 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli bullets in Nablus, indicating that this dangerous escalation will drag the region into more tension and instability.
For his part, the head of the National Council Rawhi Fattouh affirmed that the occupation’s bombardment of Gaza Strip and the destruction of homes over the heads of its residents is a war crime added to the record of the occupation’s crimes.
Fattouh called on the United Nations and the Security Council to intervene and investigate these crimes and to hold the occupation officials accountable immediately.
For his part, the Chief Judge of Palestine Mahmoud al-Habbash condemned the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza Strip at dawn on Tuesday stressing that the occupation authorities have continued for seventy-five years to commit blatant massacres against the Palestinians on a daily basis, in complete disregard for international law or the positions of the international community.
Al-Habash stressed that resisting the occupation is a legitimate right guaranteed by international charters and laws, and that the heinous crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people will not break their will or affect their adherence to their land and rights until the end of the occupation.
