Occupied al-Quds, (ST)- Palestinian personalities have condemned the new coercive economic measures imposed by the US on Syrian people , stressing that they constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and that their aim is to disrupt the Syrian army’s victories in its war on terrorism.
Member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Maryam Abo Daqqa, confirmed in a statement to SANA that the new US measures against Syria through the so-called “Caesar Act” are an attempt to hinder the Syrian Arab Army’s victories in its war against terrorists who are supported by Washington, stressing the Palestinian people’s rejection of this aggressive measures on Syria.
On his part, Mahmoud Khalaf, a member of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said that the so-called “Caesar Act” contradicts international law and international agreements and represents economic terrorism against the Syrian people. It comes in the context of American laws that serve terrorist organizations and Israel.
In turn, a member of the political office of the Palestinian People’s Party, Talaat Al-Safadi, indicated that the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army to liberate all Syrian territories from terrorism constituted the main motive for the so-called “Caesar Act”, calling on the international community to stand with Syria and condemn those irresponsible actions of the US administration towards Syria.
Mohsen Abo Ramadan, head of the Palestinian National Organizations, pointed out that the so-called “Caesar Act” coincides with targeting and stealing Syrian oil facilities, confirming that Washington was trying to cover up its crimes in Syria.
