Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network call on the UN to take serious steps to end the occupation

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Network called on the United Nations and its relevant institutions and humanitarian and human rights bodies to take serious measures that would end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and carry out the role assigned to them in protecting international peace and security.

In a statement on Wednesday on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the network called for providing immediate international protection to the Palestinians and to stop the crimes of the occupation which have led to the killing and wounding of more than 50,000 people since the seventh of last October.

It stressed the importance of having a serious will and stopping the policy of double standards by some international parties, including the US, which supports the occupation.

The network called for the continuation of marches and demonstrations in the cities and capitals of the world in rejection of the occupation’s aggression against Gaza Strip. It also called for opening humanitarian corridors to treat the wounded, provide the necessary support for hospital operations and bring fuel and medical supplies into them.

The network indicated that the legitimate and rights of the Palestinians, recognized by the UN and international bodies, are inalienable or non-negotiable, and the international community must work to enforce international resolutions in order to end the occupation and guarantee the right to self-determination for the Palestinians on their land.
