Palestinian National Council: Palestinian people will never surrender to Israel’ barbaric aggression
OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, May.14, (ST)- The Palestinian National Council has asserted that the Israeli occupation continues to commit brutal massacres against the Palestinian people amid international silence.
Wafa News Agency quoted the Council as saying in a statement issued today on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, which falls tomorrow: “Our people are exposed to a comprehensive war in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Al-Quds [Jerusalem], by the occupation…..The crazy war that the Gaza Strip is witnessing brings to mind the killing, displacement, destruction, and theft that our people were subjected to from this occupier, who seeks, through this insane escalation accompanied by genocidal operations, to displace our people, who will not surrender to this.” “Barbaric aggression.”
The Council held the United States fully responsible for the failure of all international projects and resolutions that support Palestinian rights, calling on the international community to implement UN resolutions, most notably Resolution No.194, which guarantees the right of refugees to return to their homes.
In the same context, the Islamic Christian Organization for Supporting Al-Quds [Jerusalem] and the Holy Sanctities asserted that history is repeating itself again and that the repercussions of the 1948 Nakba are still existing in the Palestinian situation in a greater and more severe way than they were 76 years ago, as the Palestinian people are still facing a war of extermination targeting their presence on their land in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Al-Quds.
The organization stressed that the Palestinian people have the strongest will to uphold their national rights and are most determined to resist and defend their land and existence in the face of the Israeli war that aims to liquidate their cause.
It appealed to the international community to assume its responsibilities in taking effective measures to stop the war and end the occupation.
