Palestinian National Council demands holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its massacres in Gaza Strip

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian National Council called on the international community to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its horrific massacres in Gaza Strip. It also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in protecting the Palestinians and to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Strip which has been continuous for 86 days.

In a statement reported by the Palestinian Wafa  News Agency yesterday, the Council condemned the silence of the countries of the world and international organizations regarding the participation of foreign mercenaries in committing crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, massacres, and forced displacement in Gaza Strip.

The Council held the United States responsible for the continuation of the genocidal war, through its support for the occupation and its repeated use of its veto in the Security Council to block the Council and the international community from carrying out their responsibilities to stop the aggression and protect the Palestinians and their facilities, and stop the catastrophe and humanitarian tragedy experienced by the residents of Gaza Strip.

The Council pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces and colonialist settlers continue with their crimes against the Palestinians in the West Bank, including killing, field executions, detention, accelerating and expanding the crimes of home demolition and colonial settlement, storming into and desecrating holy places, and abusing detainees.
