Palestinian National Council calls for stopping the Israeli occupation crimes against captives

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)- Speaker of the Palestinian National Council Rouhi Fattouh has renewed its call on the international community to immediately interfere to stop the Israeli occupation’s continuous crimes against the Palestinian captives, particularly the prisoner Walid Daqqa, due to his deteriorating health condition.

In a statement on Saturday, reported by WAFA News Agency, the Council said that the captive Daqqa has spinal cord cancer and his health condition continues to deteriorate because of the deliberate medical negligence and aggressive practices of the Israeli jail authorities towards the prisoners.

The council called on international institutions, mainly the International Committee of the Red Cross, to immediately interfere to move Daqqa to a Palestinian hospital for treatment and hopefully to save his life.

Daqqa, 60, is a Palestinian from Baqa al-Gharbiyye town in the occupied lands of 1948. He has been detained in occupation jails for 38 years.

More than 5000 Palestinian captives are facing very difficult detention circumstances inside the Israeli jails, 600 of these prisoners are sick and need urgent medical treatment.
