Palestinian Ministry of Education: More than 11,900 students have been martyred since the beginning of the war of genocide

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Education revealed that 11,923 students have been martyred and 19,199 have been injured since the Israeli occupation began its war of genocide on October 7, 2023.
The ministry said in a statement today: The numbers of students who have been martyred in Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression has reached 11,808 while 18,596 have been injured. 115 students were martyred in the West Bank and 603 were injured.
“More than 450 Palestinian students were also detained. About 561 teachers and administrative staff were martyred, and 3,729 were injured in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and more than 148 were arrested in the West Bank”, the ministry added.
The ministry pointed out that 406 schools, including 65 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip, which led to the complete destruction of 77 of them and the severe damage of 138.
The ministry added also that 84 schools and 7 universities in the West Bank were stormed and vandalized.
The ministry indicated that 788,000 students in Gaza Strip are still deprived of attending their schools and universities since the beginning of the aggression, while most students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.
