Palestinian Ministry of Education: More than 11,000 students have been martyred since the beginning of the Israeli war of extermination

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) -The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that more than 11,000 students have been martyred since the beginning of the war of extermination waged by the Israeli occupation in October 7, 2023.

Wafa News Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today: The number of students who were martyred in Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached 10,888 students, and the number of those who were injured reached 17,224. This includes 113 students who were martyred in the West Bank, and 548 who were injured there, in addition to 429 detained. The ministry noted that 529 teachers and administrators were martyred, 3,686 were injured in the Strip and the West Bank, and more than 129 were detained in the West Bank.

The ministry pointed out that 362 schools and universities aas well as 65 UNRWA schools were bombed and vandalized in Gaza Strip. 124 schools have been severely damaged and 62 have been completely destroyed. In addition, 69 schools and 5 universities in the West Bank were attacked and vandalized, while 133 schools were used as shelters in Gaza Strip.

The ministry confirmed that 718,000 students in the Gaza Strip are still deprived of going to their schools and universities since the beginning of the aggression, while most students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.
