Palestinian journalists Syndicate: America and Britain put pressure on the international Criminal Court not to investigate the crimes of the occupation

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate Nasser Abu Bakr affirmed that there is tremendous pressure from the United States and Britain on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court not to open any investigation into the crimes and violations of the Israeli occupation against Palestinian journalists.

Wafa News Agency quoted Abu Bakr as saying today: The ongoing Israeli occupation on Gaza Strip since the 7th of last October resulted in the martyrdom of 100 journalists, the injury of 140 others and the destruction of 66 media institutions.

He indicated that the occupation did not limit itself to targeting the journalists and their institutions, but also bombed their homes resulting in the death of 350 of the journalists’ families, in addition to the destruction of the homes of 1200 journalists to stop them from reporting the truth.

Abu Bakr stressed that the syndicate will continue to work with the International Federation of Journalists to prosecute the criminals of the occupation at the International Criminal Court.

He called for the need to provide international protection for journalists and media workers, and to stop the occupation’s violations and crimes against them.
