Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate: 11 journalists martyred a result of the occupation’s aggression against Gaza

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – Palestinian Journalist Syndicate (PJS) revealed that 11 journalists were martyred and more than 20 others were injured since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip on the 7th of this month.

Wafa News Agency quoted the syndicate as saying that 11 journalists were martyred and more than 20 were injured as a result of the Israeli aggression, in addition to the missing of two. The syndicate noted that the centers of 50 media institutions were also bombed by the occupation warplanes.

It noted that the occupation’s cutting off of electricity and Internet in Gaza Strip limited the ability of journalists to continue their coverage of the Israeli aggression.

The syndicate stressed that the occupation forces detained four journalists in the West Bank and prevented many press crews from covering the occupation’s attacks on Palestinians in Al-Quds and the rest of the West Bank.

Many journalists were also subjected to direct threats and incitement campaigns from Israeli pages on social media platforms, in addition to monitoring many publications calling for the liquidation of journalists and describing them as “terrorists.”
