Palestinian Health Ministry: The occupation turned Al-Awda Hospital into a military barracks

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the Israeli occupation has turned Al-Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip into a military barracks, for detaining the staff, patients and people inside it and depriving them of water and food.

The Ministry stated: “The occupation forces turned Al-Awda Hospital into a military barracks, holding 240 person, including 80 medical staff, 40 patients, and 140 displaced persons inside it without water, food, or medicine, and preventing movement between departments. The ministry noted the arrest of 6 hospital staff, including its director, Dr. Ahmed Muhanna, in addition to a patient and a companion.

The Ministry denounced the silence of the international community while seeing the massacres committed by the occupation in the northern Gaza Strip in light of the lack of health services as a result of the destruction of hospitals, pointing out that this encourages the occupation to continue with the genocidal war on Gaza Strip.
