Palestinian Health Ministry: Routine childhood vaccines have begun entering Gaza Strip

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the entry of routine childhood vaccines into the stricken Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila on Monday said in a statement reported by Wafa News Agency that vaccines have begun entering Gaza Strip within teh framework of the established international standards and under the supervision of UNICEF.

It added that they include vaccines for polio, measles, rubella, mumps, and others, and that they are sufficient for a period ranging from 8 to 14 months.

Al-Kaila appreciated the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Health, UNICEF, UNRWA, and all the teams that worked to deliver these vaccines to Gaza Strip to immunize children from diseases in the light of the critical epidemiological situation caused by the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression against Gaza Strip for 87 days.
