Palestinian Health Ministry: Al-Shifa Complex is in the death circle

Occupied Al-Quds, ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza is in death circle and the situation is becoming more catastrophic.

“There is no medicine, food, water or fuel available amid the failure of UN and international institutions to respond to calls to provide these services, and to lift the siege imposed by the Israeli occupation on the complex and stop its aggression against it”, the ministry added.

The Ministry said: 7 patients were martyred due to the depletion of oxygen, bringing the number of martyrs due to the interruption of services in the complex to 20, and the coming hours are extremely dangerous for the lives of 36 premature babies.

The Ministry said that the occupation is besieging the complex from all sides and turning it into a war filed, and its vehicles have reached the gate of the outpatient clinics, and the situation is very dangerous as it has exacerbated by the loss of water, food, and fuel and the decomposition of the bodies of the martyrs.

The Ministry stated that it had not received any response from all the UN and international institutions to which it launched appeals for providing fuel and medical supplies, and for lifting the siege, and stopping the occupation’s aggression against the complex.

It warned that if the situation remains as it is, then everyone inside the complex is threatened with death, either because of the bombing of occupation or depletion of oxygen, food and water.

The Ministry appealed to the international community to save the lives of 650 wounded and sick people in the complex, and to transfer them for treatment outside Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Red Crescent says it is facing difficulties to reach Al-Quds Hospital to evacuate it

In the same context, the Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that the Israeli occupation continues to fire and violently bombard the vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital in the Tal Al-Hawa area in Gaza. It indicated that its crews and the Red Cross crews are unable to reach the hospital to evacuate it.

The Red Crescent explained that the occupation surrounded Al-Quds Hospital with tanks from all sides, and warned those inside it to evacuate immediately. It indicated that the convoy of vehicles that set off from the southern Gaza Strip towards the hospital, accompanied by the Red Cross to ensure the evacuation of patients and medical staff, stopped in the middle of the Strip until it was able to continue its journey due to the seriousness of the conditions around the hospital.

Yesterday, the Red Crescent announced that Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza had been out of service and had stopped working completely due to the depletion of fuel and a power outage.
