Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Israeli occupation’s settlement building plans in Al-Quds void and illegal

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has stressed that the Israeli occupation’s Judaization and settlement building plans in occupied Al-Quds are void and illegal.

In a statement on Thursday, the ministry said that the occupation has escalated its settlement building operations in occupied Al-Quds with the aim of judaizing the city, isolating it from the rest of the Palestinian cities, obliterating its features, controlling its sanctities, mainly Al-Aqsa Mosque and ending the Palestinian presence in the city.

The ministry condemned the Israeli occupation’s continuous provocative acts of storming the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque which aim at imposing a fait Accompli concerning the controlling and Judaization of the Al-Aqsa Compound.

The ministry also censured the occupation’s Judaization plans in the neighborhoods of the holy city, particularly Sheikh Jarrah, Bab Al-Amoud and Sultan Suleiman, as well as the occupation’s scheme to establish a settlement bridge that links between Jabal Al-Zaitoun area, on the one hand, and the eastern fence of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Bab Al-Rahme cemetery on the other.

The ministry called on the UN Security Council to act immediately and adopt necessary measures that halt the implementation of occupation’s illegal schemes in the West Bank, including in occupied Al-Quds.
