Palestinian foreign ministry warns of dangers of Ben Gvir’s calls to build a synagogue in Al-Aqsa

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – Palestinian Foreign Ministry warned of the dangers of calls by the Minister in the Israeli occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, to establish a synagogue in Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting that this threatens to plunge the region into a cycle of violence that is difficult to control.

According to Wafa News Agency, The Ministry stated today that: “Ben Gvir’s threats to establish a synagogue in Al-Aqsa are a public and explicit call to demolish it and build the alleged temple in its place”.

It considered establishing a synagogue a recipe for blowing up the entire region and a deliberate sabotage of international and regional efforts to stop the aggression and the war of extermination and displacement.

The Ministry condemned the settlers’ storming into the mosque, calling for effective Arab, Islamic and international action to pressure the occupation to force it to put an end to Ben Gvir’s practices, statements and provocative positions, including imposing deterrent sanctions on settlers who promote escalation and violence.

In turn, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas stressed that Ben Gvir’s calls are a dangerous declaration that reflects the occupation government’s plans to Judaize Al-Aqsa and tighten control over it.

It indicated that the unprecedented crimes committed by the fascist occupation in the Gaza Strip, the widespread violations in the West Bank, and the free hand of its ministers to implement their malicious plans in Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque, desecrate it and storm into it on a daily basis is a policy that pours more oil on the fire, and will find nothing from the Palestinian people but more resistance to protect their land and sanctities.
