Palestinian foreign ministry urges international protection to the Palestinians in the occupied territories

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has renewed its call on the international community to provide protection to the Palestinian people and to work as to put an end to the Israeli occupation’s continuous crimes against the Palestinians.

In a statement reported by WAFA news agency on Wednesday, the ministry said that the Israeli occupation and the settlers are escalating their attacks on Palestinian cities and towns in an attempt to displace the Palestinians and expand settlement building operations. The ministry pointed out that the international community confined its reaction to these crimes to words of condemnation only and this encouraged the occupation to continue with its aggressive acts against the Palestinians, including demolishing their houses, stealing their lands and committing other crimes.

The ministry indicated that the Israeli occupation talk about what it calls “Palestinian terrorism” and try to hide their terrorism and aggressive practices against the Palestinian people. He stressed that it is time for the international community to put an end to this ongoing Israeli terrorism and take a decisive position to compel the occupation to implement international legitimacy resolutions and provide all forms of protection for the Palestinian people.
