Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The occupation is escalating attacks in the West Bank to achieve its colonial projects there

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Israeli occupation seeks, by escalating its attacks in the West Bank, to displace Palestinians from this area and accelerate the implementation of its expansionist colonial projects there.

In a statement on Sunday, reported by Wafa News Agency, the Ministry condemned the brutal attack committed by terrorist settler gangs against the people of the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, under the protection of the occupation forces.

The ministry indicated that what the village is exposed to is the same as all Palestinian villages, towns, camps and cities in the light of the occupation forces continuing their daily incursions, dismembering the West Bank and separating it from each other with military barriers.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry affirmed that the occupation is perpetuating the apartheid system in the West Bank, as it has allocated main roads for settlers and forced the Palestinians who own the land to use alternative roads that are often dangerous and unusable, and require a longer period of time to reach the destination and places of work.

The Ministry pointed to the need for the international community to move from its policy of directing demands and appeals to the occupation to stop its crimes to taking the necessary measures imposed by international law to force it to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, end its occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.

The ministry also referred to the need to dismantle occupation’s settlements and terrorist bases in the West Bank, and to put settler gangs on the international terrorism lists.
