Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The international reactions to Israeli massacre in Nablus reflect a double-standard policy

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the international reactions to the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation on Wednesday in the city of Nablus in the West Bank, which resulted in the martyrdom of 11 Palestinians and the wounding of dozens, reflect the policy of double standards.

In statement reported by the Wafa Agency on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry said that the international reactions are shameful and weak and almost equate the victim to the executioner, and they do not rise to the level of the occupation’s massacre, which is considered a war crime against humanity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that these responses are not consistent with the positions and claims of states and the international community regarding adherence to international humanitarian law and principles of human rights, especially since most of them avoid holding the occupation fully and directly responsible for this and other crimes and for their results and repercussions that threaten to explode the situation.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that Israel’s continued impunity encourages it to continue committing more crimes. It noted that it continues with its international political, diplomatic and legal movement to mobilize the broadest international pressure on the occupation authorities to stop their crimes and all their illegal unilateral measures.

The Ministry also demanded taking effective international practical measures and steps to ensure Israel’s commitment to stopping its all-out aggression against the Palestinian people.
