Palestinian Foreign Ministry Suspending funding for UNRWA, Supporting Israel Collective punishment and double standards

Occupied –Al-Quds (ST)-  The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the decision of a number of countries to suspend their funding to the United Nations agency UNRWA is a collective punishment for millions of Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip, which  has been subjected to continuous Israeli aggression since last October 7.

In a statement, Wafa Agency quoted the ministry as saying : These decisions are politicized and confirm the double standards of those countries that continue to provide various types of support to the Israeli occupation, despite their awareness that it is committing the most horrific massacres against tens of thousands of Palestinians, and is trying to forcibly displace more than two million from the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry renewed its call on the countries that suspended their funding to UNRWA to reconsider and retract their decision in line with its declared positions on the need to protect civilians and secure their basic humanitarian needs.
