Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Occupation’s demolition of Palestinian homes is a crime against humanity

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has renewed its call on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities and to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop its continuous violations and crimes against the Palestinian people, their land and sanctities.

The Ministry on Wednesday condemned in strongest terms the house demolitions carried out by the occupation accross the Palestinian territories. It stressed that these crimes deepen colonial annexation operations in the occupied West Bank and occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and they are an integral part of the occupation’s open war on the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights, which closes the final door to any opportunity to establish a Palestinian state on the ground.

The Ministry warned of the consequences of dealing with these crimes as numbers in statistics, or as issues that have become normal and that do not require intervention or a firm international stance.

The Ministry stressed that the occupation’s distribution of more demolition notices is a crime against humanity for which Israel should be held accountable by the international law and that  leads to the displacement of Palestinians, including children, women, the sick and the elderly.
