Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Occupation escalates demolitions in West Bank in service of its annexation scheme

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has affirmed that the Israeli occupation continues to escalate the demolition of Palestinian houses and facilities in the West Bank in implementation of its colonialist annexation plans amid the deadly silence of the international community over the occupation’s violations of the international law.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry condemned the recent remarks made by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he confirmed that the occupation has demolished 30 Palestinian buildings since the beginning of this year and that demolitions will continue and increase.

This behavior comes within the framework of the occupation’s open war on the Palestinian presence in the West Bank, the ministry clarified.

The ministry went on to say that the attempt to end the Palestinian presence in Al-Quds and the rest of the West Bank is not confined to demolitions; rather, it includes large-scale ethnic cleansing operations, as in the case of Masafer Yatta in Al-Khalil (Hebron) and Khan Al-Ahmar in Al-Quds and the Jordan Valley, where the occupation seizes lands, displaces the Palestinians and establishes settlement outposts in a war crime and a crime against humanity that would undermines any hope for establishing the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
