Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Occupation crimes require urgent international intervention

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned of the consequences of the daily dangerous escalation in the Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, their land and their sanctities, which constitutes disregard for the international positions calling for their cessation. It stressed that these violations require urgent international intervention by the United Nations, the International Criminal Court and the Human Rights Council.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the suffocating occupation measures in the West Bank, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem fall within the framework of implementing its aggressive and Judaization plans to displace people of Jerusalem, demolish their homes, or expel them by force in a desperate attempt to break their will and steadfastness.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations towards the Palestinian people, and to translate positions into real actions and measures capable of pressuring the occupation to stop its violation. It also called for taking  decisive measures that enable the Palestinians to regain their legitimate and inalienable rights, foremost of which is self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.
