Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Israeli occupation committs genocide against the Palestinians and uses internationally banned weapons
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Israeli occupation is committing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and using internationally prohibited weapons in light of a frenzied starvation campaign and preventing basic needs from defenseless civilians in the ugliest forms of collective punishment.
In a statement reported by WAFA agency , the Foreign Ministry condemned the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces using internationally banned weapons, including phosphorus cluster against the people of the Gaza Strip.
The statement indicated these crimes affect everything and have so far led to the martyrdom of 1,055 martyrs and 5,184 wounded in addition to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians being displaced from their homes, and huge numbers of homes, buildings, institutions and facilities were demolished completely.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed that the occupation is taking advantage of the support of some international sides under the pretext of self-defense to commit the most heinous forms of crimes and implement pre-prepared plans to eliminate the Palestinian cause, and the Palestinian people’s legitimate national rights, the foremost of which is self-determination.
The Foreign Ministry stressed the international sides adopt a double policy in their dealings with international conflicts and crises, in a way that ignores international law and legitimacy and the remaining credibility of the United Nations.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that the continuous escalation of bombing, destruction and killing is an Israeli disregard of countries’ stances that demand the Israeli occupation to adhere international law, renewing its demand for urgent international action to stop the aggressive Israeli aggression immediately, secure the urgent entry of basic needs into the Gaza Strip, and activate the international protection policy of the Palestinian people facing Israeli occupation.
