Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Israel occupation targeting UNRWA to increase displacement and suffering

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has stressed that the Israeli occupation’s attacks on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which provides assistance to the Palestinians, comes within the framework of the Israeli occupation’s scheme to displace and forcibly expel the Palestinian people and change the demographic status of Gaza Strip.

In a statement reported by WAFA News Agency, the ministry said that what UNRWA has been exposed to since the beginning of the Israeli occupation on Gaza Strip is an attempt to implement the Zionist schemes which seek to kill hundreds of the organization’s workers, destroy its centers and schools and impede its work and ability to do its missions, particularly in the north of Gaza Strip.

The ministry added “We view these plans with extreme seriousness as they directly target the Palestinian cause and the rights of Palestinians, most notably the right of return, and they also aim at liquidating the Palestinian cause.”
