Palestinian Foreign Ministry: International failure to protect the Palestinian people perpetuates the law of the jungle

On June 4th, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the UN Security Council abandons its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Israeli occupation authorities take advantage of double international standards and the absence of the international will to apply international law to the situation in occupied Palestine.

The Ministry said that the Israeli occupation authorities do not care about the international reactions to their violations and crimes because they realize that they are not accompanied by pressure , practical measures or any form of accountability.

The Ministry condemned the occupation forces and settlers’ terrorism against the Palestinians, noting that the occupation is racing against time to implement the largest possible number of its colonial expansion plans aimed at annexing East Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were injured and a third was arrested at dawn today, during attacks by the Israeli occupation forces on separate areas in the West Bank.

Wafa News Agency stated that the occupation forces, stationed at one of their checkpoints near the apartheid wall built on the lands of Qalqilya, fired bullets at a Palestinian, wounding him.

The occupation forces stormed the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, and abused a Palestinian youth, causing him bruises.

They also stormed the town of Tuqu’ in Bethlehem and arrested a Palestinian.
