Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns continuous aggression by the occupation forces against Al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the escalation of the Israeli occupation and its incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Ministry stressed that, the international silence on these practices reflects the failure of the Security Council and the United Nations organizations specialized in providing protection for the holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a statement on Wednesday, reported by Wafa News Agency, the Foreign Ministry said that the continuous aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupation forces and their settlers is an attempt to change the historical and legal reality that exists not only in the mosque, but throughout occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), its old city and its neighborhoods with the aim of eliminating any chance of establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the international community and the relevant UN organizations, foremost of which is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), to assume their legal and moral responsibilities imposed by international law.
