Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community, led by the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities in ensuring the implementation of United Nations resolutions, foremost of which is Resolution No. 2334, which affirms the illegality of settlements and demands its cessation.
In a statement on Monday, the Foreign Ministry indicated that the Israeli occupation authorities are expanding settlement operations in the occupied West Bank to gradually implement colonial annexation plans. It indicated that the occupation is escalating the seizure of Palestinian lands and properties in the occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), especially in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in flagrant violation of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
The Ministry added that, these illegal practices of the Israeli occupation come within the framework of Operations of Judaizing the city and attempting to strike the foundations of the historical, demographic and legal Palestinian presence in the Holy City and to abolish it completely.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that the settlers are escalating their attacks on the Palestinians by protecting the occupation forces as part of its open war on the Palestinian presence throughout the occupied West Bank.
