Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its violations against the prisoners

On March 29th, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop its continuous brutal violations against the Palestinian prisoners and to save the life of the prisoner, Walid Daqqa, who is entering his 39th year in detention.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that it is constantly following up the case of the prisoner Daqqa with the relevant UN authorities, especially in light of the rapid deterioration of his health condition in light of the policy of deliberate medical negligence practiced by the occupation against sick prisoners.

The prisoner Daqqa, 60, from the town of Baqa al-Gharbia in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948, has been detained by the occupation since March 25, 1986.

The prisoner Daqqa, is considered one of the most prominent prisoners who contributed to many of the struggle steps of the captive national movement.
