Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on the international community to force the occupation to stop settlement activity

Occupied Al-Quds,(ST)- The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities’ seizure of thousands of dunams of occupied West Bank land is a systematic undermining of the chances of establishing a Palestinian state.

The Ministry called on the international community to impose deterrent sanctions on the occupation and force it to stop settlement activity.

Wafa News Agency reported that the Foreign Ministry said today in a statement that the occupation continues its blatant defiance of the relevant United Nations resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, which confirms the illegality of settlement activities and demands their cessation. The ministry added that by doing this the occupation aims to  introduce changes to the existing historical, legal and demographic reality in the West Bank, including Al-Quds (Jerusalem), in a way that undermines the chances of establishing a Palestinian state”, the ministry added.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation is accelerating settlement operations to seize thousands of dunums of Palestinian land, the most recent of which was the seizure of 441 dunums of land from the villages of Shabtin, Deir Ammar, and Deir Qadis, west of Ramallah.

The Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission revealed earlier today that the occupation has seized about 40,000 dunums of occupied West Bank land since the beginning of this year.
