Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for the protection of sanctities and end the violations of occupation

Occupied Jerusalem (ST):  The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its request to the international community, relevant international organizations and councils, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, to provide protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites, and to oblige the occupation to stop its violations.

The Foreign Ministry condemned in a statement today reported by “WAFA” agency the continuing violations of the occupation of Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Palestine, including the arbitrary measures increasingly imposed by the occupation authorities to prevent worshipers from reaching places of worship and attempting to seize them and Judaize them.

The Ministry indicated that the occupation authorities prevented today dozens of Palestinian worshipers from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented the call to prayer in al-Ibrahimi Mosque, in flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions and human rights principles, foremost among which is the right to freedom of worship, access to places of worship, and the performance of religious rites with complete freedom.
