The Palestinian Foreign Ministry renewed its call on the United Nations and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities pursuant to the international law in order to provide protection to the Palestinian people.
In a statement reported by WAFA news agency on Saturday, the ministry condemned the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and settlers against the Palestinians and their lands and properties aiming at eliminating the Palestinian presence in Palestine and implementing the occupation’s colonialist and expansionist schemes. The ministry noted the settlers’ recent attack on the archeological area of Khan Al-Laban in the south of Nablus in preparation for seizing it.
The ministry warned against dealing with the settlers’ attacks as an ordinary issue, stressing the disastrous impact of the aggressive acts of the Israeli settlers on establishing a geographically connected sovereign Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
