Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for pressuring the Israeli occupation to halt its settlement expansion schemes

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has renewed its call on the international community to take decisive measures that pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its settlement expansion scheme in the Palestinian territories.

In a statement on Saturday,  the ministry said that the occupation continues with its open war on the Palestinian presence through settlement expansion and ethnic cleansing operations in the West Bank in a flagrant violation of UN resolutions relating to the Palestinian cause, foremost of which is Resolution No. 2334 which affirms the illegality of the Israeli settlements and calls for stopping settlement building activities.

The ministry condemned the barbaric attacks being carried out by the occupation forces and Israeli settlers against the Palestinians and their properties, stressing that these attacks aim at displacing the Palestinians and seizing more Palestinian lands to serve the settlement expansion scheme. They also aim at completely eliminating any chance for establishing the independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
