Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for international pressure on occupation to stop its crimes

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry renewed its call on the international community and the US administration to exert real pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop its crimes against the Palestinian people, foremost of which are the settlements.

In a statement on Monday, the Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation authorities are escalating their attacks with the approach of US President Joe Biden’s visit to the region. The aim of this escalation is to create new facts that serve the  occupation authorities’ colonial plans and undermine any possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state, the ministry added.

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that the settlements are illegal and considered a crime for which international law is held accountable. It indicated that international human rights and humanitarian organizations have carefully documented the ongoing theft of Palestinian land and the terror of settlers, which continues under the protection of the occupation forces.
