Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for implementing the recommendations of the investigative  committees into the crimes of the occupation

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for binding international mechanisms to ensure the implementation of the recommendations of the international commissions of inquiry into the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians.

The ministry confirmed in a statement on Tuesday, carried by Wafa News Agency, that the traditional way of the international community and its institutions’ in dealing with the violations and crimes of the occupation has proven its impotence. This  requires the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people, and respect the reports and recommendations of the international investigation committees and international organizations that document the crimes of the occupation and its racism.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the need not to be satisfied with these reports, but to adopt them and to find international mechanisms to ensure the implementation of its recommendations to ensure that “Israel” is forced to end its long-standing occupation, and hold it accountable for its crimes.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation daily commits crimes and violations against the Palestinians, demolishes their homes and desecrates their sanctities, warning that the settlers escalate their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque to implement plans to Judaize it as part of the occupation’s plans to Judaize the occupied city of Al- Quds (Jerusalem).

Last June, the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territories issued its first report, which stressed the need to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and to stop practices of racial discrimination against Palestinians. These practices include forced displacement, house demolitions, settlements and settlement expansion, and attacks by settlers under the protection of the occupying forces, in addition to the strict siege on Gaza strip.
