Palestinian Foreign Affairs Warns Against International Coexistence as Security Council Fails to Stop Aggression Against Gaza
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned of the consequences of international coexistence with the failure of the Security Council to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and to settle for political formulas and positions that do not find any use and are not respected by the Israeli occupation authorities.
In a statement today, the Ministry, quoted by WAFA, called for exerting real pressure on the Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities in halting the destructive aggression against the Palestinian people and to adopt a political road map to resolve the Palestinian issue in accordance with international peace terms and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The ministry said: “the massacres of the occupation continue against our people in the Gaza Strip, who are deprived of their most basic humanitarian needs, and the destruction of all their livelihoods in their land at a time when the occupation forces are escalating their exploitation of all Palestinian territories to facilitate gradual annexation, and the eradication of any opportunity to establish a Palestinian state.
The ministry added that the occupation authorities are trying to resolve the future of the Palestinians by force and internationally prohibited weapons, and in ways that violate international law and international humanitarian law.
