Palestinian FM calls for urgent interference to release Al-Awawdeh and Al-Halabi from Israeli jails

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Aug.29, (ST)- The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the international community to urgently interfere to stop the crime of the Israeli occupation against the two prisoners, Khalil Al-Awawdeh and Muhammad Al-Halabi, and to ensure their immediate release.

The ministry said in a statement released on Monday that the pictures of the prisoner Khalil Al-Awawda, who has been on hunger strike for the 170th day, reflect the slow death imposed on him by the occupation authorities, noting that these pictures represent a disgrace for the international community and countries that glorify the principles of human rights.

It  referred to the arbitrary practices of the occupation against the prisoner, Muhammad Al-Halabi, who has been detained since 2016, indicating that he is being subjected to the most horrific forms of torture, and that his case represents a test of the international human rights system and its humanitarian mission.
