Palestinian Detainees Affairs Commission: The occupation exploits the injuries and diseases of prisoners to torture them

The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission has affirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to tighten the noose on Palestinian prisoners, and deliberately use their injuries and diseases as a weapon to torture and kill them slowly.
Wafa News Agency quoted the Commission as saying in a statement on Monday : One of its lawyers visited “Ramla” detention center and reported that the health condition of prisoner Jihad Burkan is very serious and that he is at risk of losing his sight at any moment, as a result of being deprived of the injections that he previously received periodically to treat his eyes, in addition to his suffering  from diabetes and kidney problems.
The lawyer pointed out that the prisoner Burkan, in addition to medical negligence, was subjected to severe torture by  the occupation forces, which caused him to suffer fractures.
On Sunday , a Palestinian prisoner died as a result of being wounded by occupation bullets during his arrest from the town of Kafr Dan in Jenin on the 6th of this month, which brings the number of martyrs imprisoned to 259 since 1967.
The occupation announced, as the Detainees ’ Affairs Commission  confirms that the number of detainees  exceeds this number due to the occupation’s secrecy on the names and numbers of captive martyrs who died under torture at their  detention centers since the beginning of the genocidal war the occupation forces launch  against the Gaza Strip.
