Palestinian delegation from occupied territories of 1948 visits Syrian Golan to voice solidarity with its people against the occupation’s wind turbines project

Occupied Golan – A Palestinian delegation representing the Higher Follow-up Committee in the occupied territories of 1948 on Friday visited the occupied Syrian Golan to express solidarity with the people there in the confrontation of the Israeli occupation scheme of building wind turbines on their farmlands.

The people in occupied Golan welcomed the guest delegation, stressing the importance of this visit that comes within the framework of the Palestinians’ solidarity with their brothers in Golan, reiterating the rejection of the people in Golan to all forms of occupation and affirming their determination to continue with their struggle as to foil the occupation’s settlement expansion schemes.

Chairman of the Higher Follow-up Committee Mohammad Baraka said in a statement to a SANA reporter that the arrogant and racist practices of the occupation against the people in Golan and Palestine escalate day after day, pointing out that there will be no solution to this issue except through ending the occupation.

For his part researcher Issam Makhoul stressed the strong connection between the Palestinian and the Syrian peoples in the confrontation of the Israeli conspiracies which target both of them, asserting that through their steadfastness and adherence to their land and rights the two peoples will be able to foil all the Israeli schemes.

Hasan Fakheruddin from the occupied Golan said “the sons of Palestine are welcomed among their brothers in the Syrian Golan. Today, we receive them as we previously did when they came to express their solidarity with us against the occupation’s attempts to impose the Israeli identity on us”.

Tens of people in occupied Golan were injured in a recent Israeli attack on them in the Al-Hafayer area, east of the village of Mas’ada, where the occupation plans to build wind turbines.
