Palestinian death toll from Israel’s deadly aggression on Gaza surges to 34,535

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Apr.30, (ST)_ The Palestinian death toll from Israel’s deadly aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7th, 2023, has now surged to 34,535, medical sources confirmed on Monday, according to WAFA News Agency.

The sources added that at least 77,704 others have also been injured in the onslaught.

At least 47 people were killed and 61 others were injured in Israeli attacks that took place in the last 24 hours, they added.

The sources said that many victims are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are still unable to reach them.

In this context, the Palestinian Civil Defense service on Tuesday said more than 10,000 people are still missing under the rubble across the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli attack against Gaza on Oct. 7.

“We estimate that there are over 10,000 missing people under the rubble of hundreds of destroyed homes since the start of the Israeli aggression,” a statement by the Civil Defense said.

It noted that those missing people are not included in the Health Ministry death toll list, “therefore, the number of martyrs exceeds 44,000.”

The Civil Defense clarified that the continued accumulation of thousands of bodies under the rubble has begun to cause the spread of disease and epidemics, especially with the onset of summer and the rise in temperatures, which accelerates the process of decomposition.
