Damascus (ST): The participants in the Fifth General Conference of the Union of Palestinian Communities, Activities and Institutions in the Diaspora-Europe called for working to support the Palestinian people and enhancing their political capabilities and exposing the ongoing aggression of the Israeli occupation entity and its brutal crimes against the Palestinian people.
In the final statement of the conference, which was read by the Secretary of the General Secretariat of the Union, Osama Abdel Halim, the participants stressed the need to work on asking European countries to condemn this aggression and crimes committed by the occupation and to take legitimate measures in accordance with human rights and United Nations resolutions, referring to the importance of working to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in all ways.
The participants drew attention to the need to work to strengthen the activity of the political and media union on the European arena, expand the scope of its activities and works to include all European countries, and unify the ranks of Palestinians residing in the diaspora countries to advance social and political capabilities in defense of the Palestinian people and their rights.
The participants also referred to the importance of strengthening the union’s relations with Syria, exposing all forms of aggression and the siege imposed on it by the colonial powers, and considering the axis of resistance the basic background for all forms of the union’s work and struggle, stressing their pride and appreciation for Syria’s role as the historical and main defender of the rights of the Palestinian people.
The conference concluded with a concert entitled “Halabiya Night”, led by Maestro Hamdi Al-Shater and sung by singer Ramez Sultan, which included Muwashahat and Qadoud Halabiya.
